Fissure sealants are a preventive dental treatment designed to reduce the risk of tooth decay. The biting
surfaces of molars often contain deep grooves (fissures) and pits, which are difficult to clean effectively and therefore more susceptible to decay.   

Sealants are protective dental materials applied directly into these pits and fissures. Once in place, they 
create a smoother surface that is easier to keep clean with daily brushing, helping to protect teeth from decay and maintain long-term oral health.
